At mrSweetface, we spend a lot of time observing animals. Our brand<\/span><\/strong> began with Lucky, a rescued street cat whose sweet face hid a very <\/span>strong<\/span><\/strong> personality (and an even stronger opinion about meal times). Since then, our lives have also been enriched by Whisky, Smudge, and Hugo \u2014 three very different cats, each with their own routines, quirks, and rules.<\/span><\/p>

Add years of spending time around dogs (thanks to friends whose houses are full of wagging tails, muddy paws, and boundless enthusiasm), and the <\/span>contrasts<\/span><\/strong> between these species become impossible to ignore.<\/span><\/p>

The Cat Philosophy: Quiet, Calculated, Unbothered<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>


Fun fact:<\/span><\/strong> Cats can recognise their name \u2014 they just <\/span>choose<\/span><\/strong> whether to respond.<\/span><\/p>

Cats value autonomy. They nap for up to <\/span>16 hours a day<\/span><\/strong>, but only after selecting a spot that maximises comfort <\/span>and<\/span><\/em> inconvenience. They seek high places for safety, enclosed spaces for calm, and humans who understand that affection is always <\/span>on <\/span>their<\/span><\/em><\/strong> terms.<\/span><\/p>

Lucky<\/span><\/strong>: The sweetest of them all\u2026 and fully convinced he <\/span>is<\/span><\/em> <\/span>human<\/span><\/strong>. He expects polite conversation, lots of cuddles, even more nibbles, proper seating arrangements on your lap, and maybe even a cuppa..
<\/span>Whisky<\/span><\/strong>: The undisputed queen. She naps like <\/span>royalty <\/span><\/strong>and makes it very clear \u2014 the boys are strictly <\/span>not allowed<\/span><\/em> anywhere near her<\/span> throne.<\/span><\/strong>
<\/span>Smudge<\/span><\/strong>: The resident observer and professional scaredy-cat. He watches everything\u2026 usually from a safe distance\u2026 and makes a <\/span>strategic<\/span><\/strong> retreat whenever new people or dogs appear.
<\/span>Hugo<\/span><\/strong>: The chatty <\/span>social<\/span><\/strong> butterfly. Rarely still, always vocal, and somehow convinced the whole world exists just for his commentary.

Affection from a cat is quiet but intentional: a slow blink, a head bump, sitting nearby but not on you. It\u2019s precise, thoughtful, and often hilarious.<\/span><\/p>
